FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Working with a travel advisor saves you time, provides expert guidance, and gives you a trusted resource before, during, and after your trip. We help match you with the right destinations, cruise lines, resorts, and experiences based on your travel style and goals.
We specialize in cruise vacations, all-inclusive resorts, European travel, U.S. getaways, and customized vacation packages. Whether you're planning a family vacation, honeymoon, anniversary trip, group trip, or bucket-list adventure, we're here to help.
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for cruises, Europe travel, holiday travel, and popular destinations. Early booking often provides the best availability, promotions, and cabin or room selection.
In many cruise cases, yes! Most cruise lines allow travelers to transfer their reservation to a travel advisor within a limited period after booking, provided the reservation meets the cruise line's transfer requirements.
If your reservation is eligible, we may be able to take over the booking and assist with planning, answer questions, help with dining and excursion recommendations, monitor your reservation, and serve as your point of contact before travel.
Because transfer policies vary by cruise line and booking date, we recommend contacting us as soon as possible after making your reservation. We'll be happy to review your booking and let you know whether a transfer is available.
Travel document requirements vary based on your destination and type of travel. For domestic travel within the United States, a valid government-issued photo ID is typically required. For international travel, a valid passport is usually required and some destinations may have additional entry requirements.
For certain closed-loop cruises that depart from and return to the same U.S. port, U.S. citizens may be able to travel with a government-issued photo ID and an original or certified birth certificate. However, we strongly recommend traveling with a valid passport whenever possible. In the event of a medical emergency, missed sailing, unexpected itinerary change, or the need to fly home from a foreign country, having a passport can make the process significantly easier.
Travelers visiting many European destinations should also be aware of the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS), an electronic travel authorization that may be required in addition to a valid passport. Requirements can change, and we'll help you understand exactly what documentation is needed for your specific itinerary before you travel.
Applying for your first U.S. passport is easier than many travelers think. We recommend starting the process several months before your international trip to allow plenty of time for processing.
Here's what you'll need:
• Complete a passport application (Form DS-11) through the U.S. Department of State: Passport Application (DS-11)
• Proof of U.S. citizenship, such as a certified birth certificate, previous U.S. passport, or naturalization certificate.
• A valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license.
• A passport photo. Many travelers have their photo taken at Walgreens, CVS, Staples, FedEx Office, or select Post Office locations.
• Copies of your citizenship and identification documents.
Once you have everything ready, schedule an appointment at your local passport acceptance facility, which is often a U.S. Post Office: Schedule a Passport Appointment
